I have spent money with Mark Joyner I give you that, and there is nothing really wrong with his Simpleolgy concept. Its simple, what else can I say about it. It makes sense. If you can follow instructions and jump through the hoops it might work for you. I still get emails from this guy because I do like him.
But this is what I don’t like. Him and many other Internet gurus like to claim that something is “free” when it is not really free. It does require you to pay for it up front first and then do something in return in order to get a refund or to get your money back. Excuse me, if something is “free” then it is “free” period. It does not require you to pull out your credit card or jump through any hoops to get your money back. Stop calling this stuff free. Its not.
Also the “try this free for X number of days” and if you don’t like it you can get your money back is NOT FREE either. That’s simply a guarantee. A guarantee is not “FREE” and the word “free” should not even be used.
Every time I want to check out something via a link that Mark Joyner has sent me in an email I end up having to log into my simpleology account with a user name and password and the last time I tried that I could not remember or find my password. So I went on to other things. I just did not have time to jump through those hoops.
Going to a landing page for a new course or cash map he is promoting always means pulling out your credit card and paying for something regardless what he is promoting as “FREE.”
And these “cash maps” what are they? They are simply a list of things to do to get to a certain point. You are left with having to learn to do them or buying a course telling you how to do them. Here is an example of my cash map for someone who is homeless and out of work:
Take a bath 2. Get some clean clothes 3. Get an address of some kind 4.. Look for a job. 5. Don’t give up.
That’s my “simple cash map” for someone who is out of work.
Now he is promoting a new course!
And a claim like: “Just keep doing this and you will make money.” is one that is supposed to grab your attention. (A gimmick) Okay now to find out what ‘this’ is that you are suppose to ‘keep doing’ requires you to listen to his podcast and then ’try his course’ and get your credit card out for that.
Hey I will tell you a few things that you can do to keep making money. First, KEEP WORKING for starters. Keep producing. Keep advertising, Keep driving traffic to your website etc etc. There are many books you can buy on Amazon.com that cost $20.00 or less that have a lot of great advice for making money and for positive thinking and abundance etc. Yet some Internet guru thinks he knows something no body else knows and that it’s worth $97.00, and you can get that back if you create a video for him about your experience, which I am quite sure he will use in further promotions.
That’s just annoying, I’m sorry.
But I would like to add, that there is nothing wrong with what he is doing. He is getting into affiliate marketing, plain and simple. Well, at least he is selling a course on how to make money on affiliate marketing. He feels the Internet needs yet another course about affiliate marketing Mark Joyner style … where he makes it simple. He claims that building websites, driving traffic, picking products and selling them for others ….. is simple. Okay. If you believe that, go for it. But it will take a lot of learning and a lot of work. If you are familiar with a computer, and the Internet maybe it will be simple.
Mark Joyner does make things simple. I know that if you follow his instructions, you will succeed.
Its about time he got into affiliate marketing. You can check out his new course at www.webcastspecial.com and no that is not an affiliate link.
